The Brighter Future team was to meet at the University of Verona during the first week of April 2020 for a learning activity and the second project coordination meeting. However, due to the COVID19 situation, particularly in Northern Italy, the consortium has decided to cancel this activities.
The Italian Government has gone on with precautionary measures, according to which lectures, seminars, conferences and all those activities gathering people together in public spaces have been suspended, by now until March 8. There are recommendations by the Health Ministry to cancel public events until the end of March, but scientists say what we should expect is that the virus will not disappear at least until late Spring as the temperature gets warmer. We can’t but wait and see how things evolve and whether we can meet in Verona later on this year.
